Indian Head Massage

Putting You First

Steeped in 1000 years of history, Indian Head Massage is based on the ancient Indian practice of Ayurveda which aims to balance the body, mind and spirit. Traditionally the massage or “Champissage” as it is known in Hindi and Urdu would only cover only the scalp and hair. This is thought to have started when Indian women began offering head massages to their daughters to keep their hair in good condition. Fast forward over the centuries and modern Indian Head Massage now includes  the neck, face, shoulder and arms as well.

With over 40 massage techniques at your therapists fingertips, this treatment aims to calm and relax the mind and body. Those suffering from chronic upper body tension, stress or who are not comfortable lying down during a massage may find this treatment particularly helpful.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Patient-Centered Treatment

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a gentle, precise massage technique that stimulates lymph flow to reduce swelling, support immune function, and aid recovery from fluid retention or post-surgical edema.

Manual lymphatic drainage is a therapeutic massage using very light, rhythmic strokes to move lymph fluid from tissues toward functioning lymph nodes, helping the body remove excess fluid and toxins. Unlike deep tissue massage, MLD focuses on skin-stretching movements rather than muscle pressure, making it safe for delicate or congested tissues . It is commonly used for lymphedema, post-surgical swelling, chronic venous insufficiency, and cosmetic purposes like reducing facial puffiness.
